It’s been a good week. Hooray!

(btw, you’re listening to an Indie Rock Japanese band, Spangle Call Lilli Line. Don’t ask me what the song means because I have no clue haha aaand I donno how to make the pictures load faster?!?! I resized them already so I’m sorry once again )

Konichiwa! (that’s one of like 5 japanese words I know)

It’s my weekend so therefore it is time to blog. I got paid for the first time! woohoo! You know how it’s normal to get paychecks every 2 weeks? Well, here in Japan, you get paid once a month, and it’s always direct deposit. No one gets a paycheck. Everything here is through bank transfer. I paid my rent today. And  I just transferred money to my landlord’s account. Weird, yeah?! (BTW, I say “…yeah?” now instead of “…right?” And I have no idea why.) However, the bills that are not paid through bank transfer are my utilities. The water/electric/gas/internet company sends your monthly bill. It comes with 2 pages. On one of them, there’s a barcode. I go to the register at the convenient store, they scan the bar code, and I pay my bill. They stamp it, and TADA! I paid my bill. Isn’t that cooool?! haha

During the week, there are all these things I want to blog about, but then I forget. Boo. Hmmm.. OHH HAHA ok I’ll recount the past week day by day. I’ll attempt to be as less detailed so this entry won’t be super long.

Monday (I forgot to write this in my last blog) I had an asthma attack. BOO! I have no idea why. I haven’t had one in yearrsss. When I could breathe normal again, I got SUPER cold and my body became SUPER weak.

Wednesday: Went to the Gonzalez’s again for a little birthday celebration for Martin’s friend and Martin cooked something that was really good. I brought everyone Red Horse (because this department store sells it). I had one CUP and I got tipsy. HAHA it was funny. Theen we went out to Karaoke! It’s awesome! These places have like ALL songs! I wanted to sing “Because of You” by Ne-Yo (hi jeryl! hehe) but UH I don’t think my fellow Karaoke mates would’ve known the song?! hahaha See pictures below.

Thursday: Work! That’s it.

Friday: Got paaaaid yo.

Saturday: Work! After work, I went to Shibuya to meet up at Outback Steakhizzouse with a co-worker who is leaving for the states for a month or so, but I am a moron and I couldn’t find it so I bought sneakers to make myself feel better. hahaaha Later that night, I met this guy at my subway station because he was selling me his microwave/grill/oven. Homie said he’d bring it to my apartment but he didn’t! BOO. So I carried this thing like a block and a half. And it’s like 13kilos! (Yeah I have no clue what that is in lbs because he only told me what it weighed in kilos). I got super tired so I decided to give up. I sat on the box and prayed for a taxi. One came after 10 minutesss! The taxi driver could speak a little english so he made conversation. When we got to my building, homie gives me crackers. And not just ANY crackers, but magic sky flakes! HAHA ironic, yeah?! And he like explained to me that there were 3 crackers in it. Then he takes out his card. He tells me the city he lives in and then he asks me to call him the next day. I’m thinking that he wants me to call him if I need another taxi. Stupid Lisa. It didn’t occur to me until I get into my building that he was hitting on me. But nooowww he knows where I live! So I’m kind of scared. hahaha Theennnn, I went to Ikebukuro to meet Martin, Paulo, and Robert. We got sushi. And I had yet ANOTHER asthma attack! I think it’s the cigarette smoke? I’m gonna find a doctor though. Like the other attack, I got really REALLY cold (like teeth chattering cold). The 3 boysss were really concerned so it was pretty affirming that these guys are really good guys. And I’m thankful to have them as my friends.

Sunday: Work! After work, I went to maasss then I went to my other co-worker’s Sayonara Party. She’s moving to Dubai so she had a party at this club/bar. When I got there, I had a beer and a glass of wine but I didn’t eat dinner so yeah I’m dumb. (Hey, I’m not a drinker now, just if you’re wondering. I had to pay a cover of 2000Yen and it included 2 drinks so I was getting my money’s worth! haha)

haha well so much for being less detailed. Perhaps I’ll blog again tomorrow if I can remember more stories. Byyyee!!

p.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY (belated) Ron Deala! =D Go greet him! A link to his multiply is on the right hehe

    hello~
I’m a uni student here, i’ve been here almost 2 years, yikes! (and no i dont speak decent japanese what so ever XD) What are you doing here?

I found your blog because I typed in the name for that building in google because since I was starting my house search again I wanted to see if there were any rooms left. haha. And your blog popped up.

i would attribute the asthma attack to the insane amount of dust in tokyo. i’ve been packing things this week which=moving kicking up the dust and i have been coughing and sneezing all week x.x

wait…the TAXI driver was hitting on you???

Ewww thats so creepy!!! Now I’m going to be afraid to take taxis haha.
I don’t know what the deal is with the dust, probably pollution. I’ve wondered if getting an air purifier would help because I hate cleaning so much but I don’t want to spend the money if I dont know it will work. My feet are always dirty because it seems like a day after I clean it, there is a layer of dust on it already.

I go to TUJ in azabu, asian studies major. I ended up moving to a place in Tomioka (monzen-nakacho station). I just got the key for it today though, yay! Currently I live in Akabane
