My Last Weekend in Japan

My last weekend in Japan was exactly how it was supposed to be. I was able to spend Friday night with my good friend, Paulo. Saturday I went to Kanagawa for a YFC Camp. [I was music ministry. Gasp! I don’t know how you guys play the guitar for hours. I honor you (and your fingers) haha.] Sunday, after camp, I went back to Tokyo to have a sayonara party with my lovely co-workers.

Sunday, I kept praying to Mama Mary and she totally hooked me up! I had to go to SoftBank to cancel my phone, and there was this huuuge cue! It’s 6:15 (my sayonara party is at 7) and the guy told me it could be 40 minutes and obviously, I needed to cancel it so I had to stay. I TOTALLY kept praying to Mama Mary to help me pray the employees got through the other customers quick.y (and for me to be at my party by 7:15 at the latest and they toootally did! I was outta there by 6:45! I got to my party at 7:05.! Wooohoooo! Of course, I was still late which is completely frowned upon in Japan but that’s okay. They understood my situation. Two of my employees gave me letters from students, and I think that just about made my day. One letter was from a high-level student and the other was from a kids’ group who was one of my favorites. See letters below. [will scan later] Even if I wasn’t able to bring my students closer to the Lord, I hoped that God, through me, would make an impact on them. These letters help me believe that God did! Hehe This was my first time really working for a corporate company, and I didn’t hate it at all! Haha When I was filling out this questionnaire for resigning employees, I circled “outstanding” to rate Berlitz. See. I’m nice. I’m gonna miss teaching English! But I don’t think I’d do it again. I want to teach pre-school kids who speak English haha. Oh Looord, I hope You make that dream come true! (No rush, of course).

I feel fat. And bloated. And I know I’m going to gain a lot of weight the next few weeks. I’m too excited for the food that awaits me! Hahaha
