I’m gonna be a girl for a second.

This song makes me kilig! I can’t wait for this moment! Okay, yes I can hehe. I’m excited to see what the Lord has in store for my friends, too… those who are preparing for the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony, those who are discerning for Holy Orders, and those who are discerning for another person!

I’m gonna tell you a story. A true story. It’s about a brother and a sister who found each other in SFC. Let’s call the brother Adam, and the sister Eve, for privacy purposes. So Adam decides he wants to propose. He goes to Eve’s house to ask for her hand in marriage.

Adam: Tito, I wanted to come and ask for Eve’s hand in marriage.
TIto: Why do you want to marry my daughter?
Adam: I love her. She’s… (and he goes on to talk about why he loves her)
Tito: Yes, okay. You know my daughter well and I can see you love her. But tell me, WHY do you want to marry her?
Adam: I love her, Tito. I want her to be my wife.
Tito: Okay, but WHY do you want to marry her?
Adam: Um.. I’m not sure what you want me to tell you, Tito.
Tito: Okay, I’m going to go the bathroom. Hopefully you have an answer when I come back.

So here, Adam is super freaking out on what to say. He’s praying to God for the right words because he literally has no clue what else to say. Tito comes back…

Tito: Okay. So why do you want to marry my daughter?
Adam: (praying praying praying) Because she’s my missing rib.
Tito: When I went to the bathroom, I was praying you’d say that. You have my blessing.

How crazyyy is that!! Adam said that the words just came out of his mouth. He had no idea where they came from… and obviously, they were from the Looord!

That will always be one of the best answered prayer stories I’ll never forget. Our God is so great! That’s how perfect God’s design is for our lives. We just have to do our part and wait and pray for His plan.

With that, every sister needs to know their worth and she needs to know they are worth fighting for. Me included. =)

Absolutely one of the best songs ever, hands down. 

I pray we all yearn, especially during this Lenten season, to be more for our Lord, to seek more of our Lord, to surrender more and more to our Lord.

It’s great how the human mind works. How smells, noises, sights, words can trigger a memory within our brain. Of course, these can be good and bad.

Let’s start with the bad.

I dislike how good songs are tainted because of old memories. OK not necessarily tainted, but just…. I just wish these songs didn’t have memories attached to them?

Listening to old songs though, is kind of entertaining. Like when I listen to them, and then I think of the times I relate these songs to, I think, “Oh man! Was I really like that? Did that really happen? I can’t believe we’re not friends anymore. I can’t believe she said that. I can’t believe he said that. I can’t believe I was this stupid..etc” haha

But on the other hand, songs with good memories!

Absolutely PERFECT moments, the best God moments, driving in Rex with friends, walking around campus, partaaays (HA), mission trips, ftw training, movies/tv shows, friends and their lives, and the list goes on, with me thinking “Aww! I remember that! Sigh” I love how these songs can bring you back to such an amazing/fun/funny time, only to end up thinking, “the best is yet to come.”

Oh Lord, You’ve designed us so intricately. You’re so clever! I can’t wait to meet Ya!
